Derek Trucks (born June 8, 1979) is an American guitarist, songwriter, and founder of The Derek Trucks Band. He became an official member of The Allman Brothers Band in 1999. In 2010, he formed the Tedeschi Trucks Band with his wife, blues singer/guitarist Susan Tedeschi. A compilation of the virtuoso slide guitarist Derek Trucks (1980-), child prodigy and band member of The Allman Brothers Band and presently the Tedeschi Trucks Band twelve member ensemble. Derek Trucks was born on 8 June 1979 in Jacksonville, Florida, USA. He is a producer and actor, known for The Rite (2011), The Irishman (2019) and Hillbilly Elegy (2020).
